Current reseasrch interests include:
- Robot action planning
- Networks diagnostics
- Fuzzy, neural and genetic algorithm based methods for artificial intelligence problems
- 2D object recognation for assembly robots
- Detection and classification of chromosomes
Software development projects
- Design and implementation of robot action planning algorithms. Simulation of action execution. Reasoning in space and time.
- Fault diagnosis for Ethernet networks. Knowledge gathering, integration with network management tools. Interfacing to measurement devices. Computer aided operation and training. Ethernet Diagnostics Network Analyser: EDINA.
- Human chromosomes detection and classification using image processing and neural networks.
- 2D object recognation based on FFT and foot print technique.
Hardware resources
- PCs with CCD raster cameras, image digitalizing cards and Quadputer board (4xT800+4x4MByte)
- VAX with graphics terminal
Software tools
- Compilers (C, C++, Prolog, Lisp, Parallel C, Parallel Pascal)
- Development environment (OPS5, Level 5 Object, VAXset, MS Windows, X-Window/Motif, VMS, UNIX,DOS)
