Backdrops: Hills

The backdrops come from the Backdrop Warehouse Web site. As it was stated in the Copyright section at the time i've downloaded this pictures, they were free from copyright - the company is making its business by having the pictures in a 10,000 times higher resolution, and printing them as backgrounds behind model railway layouts.

The photos are taken in the USA, but this pictures have no characteristic objects on them - one can use them for scenes in other parts of the world too.

The example timetable file of Traffic uses this pictures with the following $GROUP command:

$GROUP DX=1852; AB=407; BL=40;        \
    BG=(XXX.JPG:,,>,20;TRBED12:..,^0;);

It means, a railway track image from the picture collection will be placed below this backgrounds, the train is running on the lower side of this pictures.
Each of this pictures has a color test field for printing. I have not cut them away, because i did not want to loose picture quality by the new JPG encoding of the pictures. This pictures are 1872 pixel wide - wider as any usual screen resolution -, so Traffic will cut a part of the picture - usually from both sides. The 3. and 4. parameters after the colon in the BG= attribute specify, the Traffic should discard the right 20 pixels of the image - so, if this test area is on the left side of the picture, change the  >  character to  < : it should always "look" to that side of the image, which should be cut off, and the following number specifies the width in pixels of the unusable part.

The whole size pictures are stored themselves here, no zip files - if you want to download them, click with the right mouse button, and select the "Save link target As..." popup menu entry.
